On-line dealing is growing tremendously inside the prior several years. Some sort of stock options dealer must utilize a specialist to help enter in their particular investment purchases.

Stock swap by EmixLea

When your money sits in the bank, you earn some interest, so why not make some extra income on your stocks and gold while they sit in your broker's vault. Dividends aren't the only way to make money on the stocks you hold long-term. "Call options" can give you some extra income on those stocks for the years they are sitting idle in an IRA account (or even in a regular account).

Here's a quick guide to how it works.

Call options are a right to buy a stock at a specific price between now and a future expiration date. If I buy an IBM December 200 call, it means I have the right to buy 100 shares of IBM for $200 per share any time between now and December, regardless of the market price. Even if IBM is at 225 in December, I can buy it for $200. I can also just sell the call for the difference in price between the two, and pocket the profit. However, from a seller's standpoint, I am selling the right to someone else, who may buy my shares for $200 any time between now and December. He pays me a premium, say $500, for this right, when IBM is at $194. I pocket the extra $500 income, and if the shares get pulled away from me at $200 per share, I still have a $600 profit there too. I just made $1100 instead of the $600 I would have made without selling the calls.

Of course, if IBM goes to $220 the next week, I might cry real tears, but there's no reason. Profit is profit, and it's never a bad thing. Never cry over a "could have made" deal, just be happy with the profits you have in hand.

However, if IBM stays in the $185 to $195 range for many months, I continue to earn extra income by selling calls against my shares. When these expire, I can sell more. It's a constant stream of income. Of course, in events such as the financial crash of the second Bush administration, when most stocks fell 40%... you will still see a loss. However, the income from the calls will help take some of the sting out of it. If you own gold bars, the same principle applies, but you'll need a commodities broker to trade these types of calls on gold.

This isn't a quick fix or guarantee against buying bad stocks or investments. If you had Citibank or Lehmen shares in 2008 or 2009, nothing would have saved you. But it does create extra income against the solid stocks you own that are not built like a house of cards. Nothing is guaranteed in the stock market, not even with blue chips, so you need all the extra income you can get.

You can also sell deep in the money calls, when you think the stock may tumble but you don't wish to sell the shares. If CAT is at 115 and you suspect a fall coming, you can sell the 100 (strike price) calls, for about $1600 or more. If it falls to 98, you will keep my stock and get enough money from the call sale to cover most of your losses.

If you want to try it, look on your broker's website for Options quotes, and start shopping for a proper "call" to sell against your shares. I always sell long-term options, and it usually works well for my account.

Coronary artery disease is the most common type of heart disease, according to National Heart Lung, and Blood Institute. Often, heart failure is silent killer, and not diagnosed until years after the heart begins to decline. In 2002, twenty-nine percent of United States deaths attributed to coronary heart disease or 699,947 people. Also, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease thirty percent higher among African Americans than among whites. In 2003, nearly thirteen million Americans diagnosed having stable coronary artery disease but have a higher risk developing health complications. Coronary heart disease kills more than seven million people worldwide each year. When coronary arteries, which supply blood to the heart muscle become hardened and narrowed causing coronary artery disease. The hardening and narrowing of the arteries: Buildup plaque on the inner walls of the lining of the arteries, known as atherosclerosis. The increase amount of plaque reduces oxygen to the heart and can lead to chest pain (angina) causing discomfort, swelling in the legs (edama), difficulty breathing, Shortness of breath, fatigue or death. More people are likely to be diagnosed with heart failure, especially among aging baby-boomers. During the past decade, the rate of hospitalization for heart failure has increased by 159 percent, and leading cause of hospitalization, over the age of 65. In 2006, American Heart Association estimates the total cost attributed to heart disease, including health care services, medications and lost productivity, more than $258 billion.

In 2002, Roche Diagnostics Division (Basel, Switzerland) of Roche, one of the world's leading research healthcare groups in the fields of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to market a blood test, diagnosing congestive heart failure. The blood test for amino-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP): Given to patients in emergency rooms with shortness of breath (possible symptomatic of heart failure). The results of the test can determine if the patient is suffering from heart failure or some other medical problem (such as lung disease), would require different type of treatment. James Januzzi, M.D. from the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston said: "It is a hormone that the heart releases, and it's sort like a mayday hormone. When the heart gets stretched, it releases, and it what it does as it actually helps counter balance the presence of heart failure." Previous studies have shown, when NT-proBNP levels higher than 5,180, five times more likely those patients will die of acute heart failure then those patients with lower levels. However, the numeric test results have different meanings in regard to the patients' age (higher levels increase with age) and gender. Also, higher NT-proBNP results, maybe associated to kidney disease. The test results help guide therapy or treatment. Providing the appropriate drug treatment, changing doses or adding new drug to current therapy, goal to get the NT-proBNP levels below 1,000. Dr. Januzzi said: "If you are below that level, the likelihood that you are going to have an adverse outcome whether its heart failure, destabilization or death is almost zero the idea here is that we actually using an objective measure to guide heart failure therapy as opposed to the standard ways that we would do it." In many cases lowering NT-proBNP levels, prevented patients from undergoing heart transplants or taken them off the transplant list. In 2006, data presented by Roche Diagnostics at the American Heart Association, showed that NT-proBNP test could generate yearly savings up to $600 million in United States Healthcare system.

Minimal risk complications from NT-proBNP test includes: Developing a small bruise at the puncture site, the vein may become inflamed (rarely) after the blood sample is taken (Condition is called phlebitis and treated with warm compress applied several times daily), and bleeding disorders attributed to blood thinning medications or clotting problems (Advisable to notify health care professional before blood is drawn).

NT-proBNP Test is applicable to diagnose heart disease and heart failure in dogs. Identifying the presence of heart disease when clinical exam is inconclusive and presented with cough, lethargy (Tiredness), difficulty breathing or no symptoms. Recommended all dogs over the six years of age be regularly screened for heart disease. Canine CardioCare is the first and only canine NT-pro-BNP test in the United States.

Studies have shown people lowering high blood cholesterol, reduces the risk of heart disease attributed to heart attack and needing heart bypass surgery or angioplasty.

In August 2006, Response Biomedical Corporation (Located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Public traded company, listed on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol "RPBIF") started patient enrollment in the United States, test portable RAMP NT-proBNP (updated version of NT-proBNP), aid to diagnosis of congestive heart failure, within minutes. The RAMP systems includes a portable fluorescent Reader and single-use, disposable Test Cartridges, and has the potential to be adapted to more than 250 medical and non-medical tests currently performed in laboratories. Bill Radvak, President and CEO of Response Biomedical said: "The congestive heart failure testing market exceeds US $400 million annually with strong growth driven by a market for improved detection, prognosis and monitoring."

Stock Market Money Exchange by vhenley

We have all seen the movies where about 1000 guys in suits are screaming "SELL, SELL, SELL" this is how we picture the stock exchange. Well before you go to Wall Street and start screaming and selling your stocks, there is an interactive web based stock market game you can play to gain experience on stock trading. The game is called Virtual Stock Exchange and you can find it on the web at (http://vse.marketwatch.com).

To play Virtual Stock Exchange you must first register on the site, which is quick and easy. Once registered you can choose many options of game play, you can just simply join a game that is already in progress or you can create your own or wait to be invited to a specific game. With all the options it gives the game some flare, you can join with your friends and play a private game and see who has the best trading skills. You also can join a generic game and see if you can beat all the other online players, some of them are pretty crafty and do quite well.

When you start a game depending on which option you choose you are given some start up capitol by Virtual Stock Exchange. You then need to start buying stocks, it's a pretty straight forward process, you type in the stock symbol (or the name of the company you want) and then click on GO. It then brings you to the buying process which has many options that I don't really know much about, Google better watch out because I will find out soon enough what the difference in the pricing types are (Market, Limit, and Stop). Once you purchase your stock then you just have to wait and see if your stock goes up or down. Buy low and sell high is how I have been working my game but I am in fifth place out of ten friends so I don't know if my strategy is working so well.

Other than buying and selling stocks on the game there is a portfolio interface that allows you to see all the stocks you own, what you bought them for, what their current value is, how much you have of the stock, how much gain or loss you have made on the stock, and the equity you are invested in each stock. This game is very addicting I want to beat my friends and it gives me the idea maybe one day I can take on Wall Street, well maybe not since I don't have (10,000,000) in start up capitol the game gives you.

The Virtual Stock Exchange also gives you a research option where you can learn more information about how to trade. It gives you a load of information about different types of trading, what the best trade methods are, what all the extra things are that go with trading like the commission. It is just a fun place to learn about trading stocks.

Overall the web interface is good and easy to use, trading does take some time, and trades don't post for about 15 minutes. Not sure if that is how the real stock market works or not, but that seems like a long time to wait, the stocks continue to fluctuate as you wait for the trade to be made. I have a lot of fun playing this game with my friends and family, it's a good way to kill some time or just to take a break every now and then to see how you are making out in the game. It's very realistic and hard, I have been playing for a month now and have seen minimal gains normally staying just above even. I am not sure how the pros do it but even with my 10 million dollars I have just made a few thousand dollars.

I think this would be a great game for college students studying to be stock brokers. It is tied into the actual market and shows potential real life gains and losses, it would be a good way to get them some experience at no cost. I am sure there are some falsities about the game but if you just want to have some fun and try your luck at the stock market this is the way to do it without risking your life savings.

I used to play an old text based game called Inside Trader on the old Apple II computer and I loved it so I started to find more realistic updated version of the game and The Virtual Stock Exchange seems to be the best. It is very fun and gives you plenty of good information to try out and see if you have the potential to make some money on the market.

Go ahead give The Virtual Stock Market a chance, who knows maybe you will learn enough to go for the real thing. When you are a millionaire remember who got you into the Virtual Stock Exchange!

Chpt2-SecA: How to Deal Upfront With Investment's Most Common Problem by palynp

As an avid investor, I have had the opportunity to invest in dozens of different stocks. Most have been winners, but some have been losers. If I had followed my 10 tips for investing in stocks more closely, I would definitely have come out on top more often. Read these 10 tips for investing in stocks to maximize your return while minimizing your risk.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #1

Invest in what you know. Through your everyday life, you have no doubt come into contact with companies and products your rave about. This is an excellent starting point as you start to think about what stocks to invest in. Investing in companies you are familiar with and enjoy gives you invaluable knowledge about your investment.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #2

Read the company's 10-K, the annual report. All public companies in the United States and many private ones file 10-K's with the Securities and Exchange Commission. These can be downloaded for free and are filled with invaluable information. Everything from a description of the industry and products, operations, marketing, financials, and litigation are discussed. Read the 10-K to become familiar with your potential investment.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #3

Read the company's most recent 10-Q, or quarterly report. Much shorter than the 10-K, the quarterly report details the most recent financials available for the company. A brief discussion of the financials, ongoing litigation, or important head- and tailwinds is also discussed. Reading the 10-Q will give you insight as to the most recent developments of the company.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #4

Know the company's management team. A company's management navigates the firm through crises, makes operational decisions, and has a huge impact on profitability. Look for a management team with significant experience in both good times and bad. A seasoned management team will almost always outperform a green management team when unexpected calamities arise.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #5

Read the company's most recent investor's presentation. Investor presentations are periodically given by most corporations, and are found on the company's website. The investor presentation outlines recent performance, investment opportunities, and gives the management's view of future profitability. This document is an excellent indicator of what the company believes future performance will be.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #6

Understand what makes a stock price move up and down. Theoretically, all of the future profits of a firm are combined to come up with today's stock market price. If you believe most investors are either over estimating or under estimating future profitability, then you believe the stock price is wrong. Invest in stocks where you believe most investors are underestimating profitability so you can capitalize on your projected upswing.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #7

Research any outstanding litigation. Litigation can have a positive or detrimental effect on stock price. Make sure you understand what court cases the company is involved in and any potential settlements or judgments than may affect profitability.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #8

Read and understand the company's financial statements. Knowing how much debt a company has, what the debt service obligation is, and when debt is due is vital to investment decisions. Make sure your projections of company profitability cover all debt obligations to ensure you do not buy an investment on the verge of default.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #9

Gather third party research. Read what others think about the company to help form your own opinion. Remember that third party research isn't necessarily right - but just an opinion as to what the potential stock investment is all about. Read what these researchers think and incorporate it into your thoughts on future profitability.

10 Tips for Investing in Stocks: Tip #10

Know the stock's investor base. The investor base is the list of all investors in a stock; a heavily concentrated investor base means a few investors wield undue influence over the stock's price. A heavily invested investor who sells the stock may cause the price to tumble, and vice versa.

The key to successful stock investing is researching and understanding your investments. Keep on top of company developments to know when to sell and to see if your investment will continue to perform.

Things you have to do previous to buying and selling throughout stock

My Laguna Office-Stock Trading by paulewogs

I own a stock picking group on Yahoo, check stock message boards periodically and am well aware of the recent online stock/investing message board explosion. What most moderated groups have in common is that they draw people seeking to escape the nastiness and/or moronic behavior on some of the non-moderated stock message boards for a nice comfortable place where they can talk to likeminded traders and learn from each other without being attacked or derided. But in stock trading, being nice can cost you money.

Negative Opinions

We are taught to be nice. When somebody expresses an idea, we show support even if the idea seems ridiculous or risky. But a stock picking board is not a therapy session or a support group: it's supposed to be a place where you can sound off ideas before putting your money at risk. If you can't get honest feedback, what good is a message board? You don't have to be nasty when punching holes in other people's ideas - professional courteously will do.

Fear of Criticism

Some people don't post for fear of being ridiculed or looking stupid. But in stock trading, only one thing counts: making money. If your idea ends up losing you money, don't you wish you could have sounded it off before putting your money at risk? People should not equate themselves with their ideas. Plenty of dumb ideas come from smart people and vice versa. Besides, if you can't take anonymous criticism or negativity, how can you take heat from the market when you put your ideas to a real test? Do you want to feel good or do you want to make money? If somebody stops you from doing something foolish, don't you think a little anonymous criticism is a small price to pay for saving that money? And if your idea ends up making you money, what do you care what other people thought?

I know a couple of traders who started out by making every mistake in the book, but they weren't afraid to admit their blunders publicly. The "friendly" advice was almost unanimous: stop trading, it's not for you. But they persevered and learned, and are now making a lot of money, confident of their knowledge and style.

Negative Information

Some people are reluctant to post negative information about a stock for fear of not being nice. But knowing about a negative development can either prevent you from a costly mistake or save you a lot of money by helping you get out on time. Let other people decide whether the negative information has merit - share it if you have it.

Appliance Repair For Just About Every Room In The House Internet Selling For Appliance Repair Qualified professionals

Appliances Repair in VA by kattyjamez

Appliances can get damaged in a number or ways. Heavy objects can fall on the surface of the appliance or a sharp edge can scratch or chip the surface of the appliance. A ding or scratch won't effect the performance of an appliance but it will affect the appearance of the appliance. You can easily buy some touch up paint to fix the surface of a damaged appliance. White is the easiest to fix but you can buy any color you need to fix the scratch or scuff. You can buy the patching paint at a hardware store.

After you get the paint you need to repair the surface of the appliance take some time to wash the surface to be painted. You can use a kitchen scrub pad and some detergent to wash the affected area. Make sure to rinse it well and dry it before you apply the paint.

If the scratch is small then touch it up with a very small amount of paint. It will look better and stay good looking longer then if you apply a large glob of paint onto the surface.

If the area to be repaired is a large area then you may need to get a 15-ounce can of spray paint to fix the scratch or scuff. Get paint that matches the color of your appliance.

First take sand paper that is 600 grit and sand the area to be painted. After you sand the area take a damp cloth and wipe the surface that you sanded. Then let the surface dry.

Shake the can of paint according to the directions on the can and spray the entire area very lightly. Then let the area dry well. After the paint is dry you should apply a second coat of paint to the area. You may have to apply several coats of paint until you get the damaged area covered entirely. Don't put on a heavy coat of the paint or you will develop drips and streaks on the surface of the appliance. If you do develop drips you can sand the area smooth and wipe it with a damp cloth. Once the area has dried you can apply a light coat of paint on the area.

When painting a metal surface it can be somewhat challenging to keep the paint from dripping and smearing. It is most important to apply thin coats of paint to prevent drips form developing.
